About Us We are Nancy and Paul Garneau, and we own and operate the reservation service. There was a cable television program on the Fine Living channel called Radical Sabbatical that tells the stories of people who have left their mostly high-pressure careers to follow their dreams and do something - to them - more meaningful with their lives. We took our own radical sabbatical in 1993, moving from suburban Washington D.C to the small town laid back Forida Keys. Nancy, who has an M.A. in psychology, was selling real estate. Paul, who has an M.Ed. in education, was working as a project manager for McDonnell Douglas on the Space Station Program. Now, Nancy has primary responsibility for reservations, and Paul handles advertising and accounting and helps out with reservations when he is not working as a vocational specialist with the victims of traumatic brain injuries. We own a home in Marathon in the middle of the Keys, and started the business in a quaint conch house on the Overseas Highway, but we live now (with our two cats) in our motor coach, and operate the business via wireless internet and phone connections from wherever we might happen to be. Right now, we are parked in Las Vegas, surrounded by palm trees, desert and mountains instead of palm trees, coral rock and water. While we sometimes still miss the personal contact of visitors coming to our storefront, our current business approach gives us more time to get to know you - even if it is by phone or Email - and ensure you are receiving the best service possible. It also gives up more freedom to move about the country, visit our client businesses, and explore new vacation destinations. Former business site: quaint little conch house on Overseas Highway |
