The only Native American (Picuris) owned hotel in Santa Fe, Hotel Santa Fe is located on a three acre property at the edge of the historic district. The hotel is the result of a 1988 joint venture between the local business people and the Picuris tribe of Indians, once the largest and now the smallest tribe in the area. The hotel is staffed by many Native Americans, and the Arts and Crafts Shop is owned by the Picuris.

The hotel offers standard king rooms, junior suites with separated sitting and sleeping areas, and deluxe suites, all decorated in southwestern style with natural pine furnishings. All rooms have king beds, remote control TV, writing desks, and mini-bars.
