Joshua David Gremling and Brooke Lewellyn Hooper of Lima, Ohio, were married on Sunday, November 6, at Sombrero Rock House in Marathon.

Josh and Brooke's plans had to change. They had initially planned to have their ceremony on East Sister's Rock, a small island estate just off Sombrero Beach. Private and very romantic. But a tidal surge from Hurricane Wilma flooded that island and made its use impossible. So they moved their ceremony to Sombrero Rock House, a lovely residence still near Sombrero Beach, but on higher ground, unharmed by the storm. The ceremony was held at sunset by the pool and was attended by a small group of family and friends.

A good relationship requires a couple's ability to respond and adapt to the unexpected, to changing times and circumstances. The humor and style of Joshua and Brooke's adjustment to the change of plans that Wilma caused promises - along with the love reflected in their vows to each other - a long and successful relationship together. We wish Josh and Brooke a lifetime of happiness and good fortune.
